In Response to Kelsey Rhodes: 40 Creative Marketing Ideas

In Kelsey's post she summarizes an article that talks about marketing strategies that are directed toward the public even though they are little things. Even though they are little things they stil can mean alot and attract consumers toward your business. Kelsey states that this tactic can work for large or small companies, I agree with her as well that it is worth a shot trying because these things are so little that it doesn't take alot of money or it doesn't involve much hassel making it easier on your business as well and it may even draw in many consumers that will boost your sales and profit.

Spring Weekend Ticket Dilema

As we get closer to end of the semester the work load picks up and the hours in the library increase. It also means that spring weekend is coming upon us and this year Keene State has brought most likely one of the best concerts this college has ever seen. Lupe Fiasco and Sam Adams will be coming this year and everyone was truley excited about it until the ticket mayhem started. All over campus you will see posters and advertisements about this concert telling who is coming, when it is, and when tickets go on sale. This past monday was when tickets went on sale, they started selling online at 9 a.m. and in the student center at 10 a.m., by 12:30 p.m. the concert was sold out. This lead to more than half the campus in a feud about not getting tickets as there was only 2200 tickets sold which isn't even half the campus. The concert is scheduled to take place in the gym which I figured could hold a little more than that. If there was only a limited amount of tickets then I think they should of advertised that on the posters around the campus because many students have class all mornings therefore not letting them have time order them. Do you think that the advertisements should have expressed the limited amount of tickets?
